    Yeast- free bread

    Dear all, I m allergic to a couple of things n yeast is one of them. Anyone is there any yeast- free bread in KT (or north point, CWB) ?

    There are some bakeries that sell sourdough bread. More expensive though mind you. If that is an issue, look into making your own bread with a bread machine. I use a bread machine and I love it. Not tried sourdough myself though

    For a lazy shortcut: use a bread maker and use baking powder.

    Sourdough is nice, but quite a complex procedure.

    I do home bake sourdough rye bread, always have a few spare. PM me when interested.

    Ths. But correct me if I m wrong: gluten -free or sourdough is not yeast-Free ? Seems they are referring to different things?

    if you have an over, you can make soda bread pretty easily. takes me 45mins to bake a loaf from scratch.

    google for recipes. no need to use buttermilk can use low fat yoghurt/milk instead!

    I m allergic to dairy product too. Maybe I should give up eating bread

    Nonsense, you can make tasty 'bread' using blanched almond flour (or coconut flour) with psyllium husk powder, baking powder, sea salt, apple cider vinegar, and egg whites.

    Not yeast free (not gluten free either), but a different (wild) yeast that may not be a problem. But needs to be tried.
