Exclamation Looking for a DJ job in HK in July 2010

Hi, I'm an 19yrs old female French DJ visiting HK for a month in July, I have previously played many times in Australia, which is where I live. I am not bringing my own equipment, but if you know any club that is interested in playing filthy techno/ dirty electro and has 2 CDJs and a 2 to 4 channels mixer, I would love to play whenever, for whatever price.
    Cheers,
    Lsquid a.k.a Luce

Just rock up to dragon-i sometime, honestly being foreign in this city you can make it in showbiz any time even without equipment or reputation or a visa...

sounds good, I'll try that. I used to go eat at dragon-i all the time when it just opened, never thought it was a club. I'll tell you if I play there!

hahah dark tribal? haven't heard of that yet but I'll look into it. But no, more dark electro and filthy techno i.e bloody beetroots, aoki, crookers, etc. well, less commercial than that and a bit more minimal but you get the idea. Might be DJing at a beach party but it looks like it's not really happening. If you can find some place I can play on their decks, send me a PM or something
    cheers

Once upon a time (late 90s), before there was prog, or even electro there were many gods in the nyc scene (tunnel club)....jr vasquez and his arch nemesis danny tenaglia (exiled to space in miami), victor calderone...and numerous others. their religion was tribal house spawn from the pioneers like LNR's work it to the bone. their worshippers (burly glam & fab) soaked it up with their bottled water, Es and red bull/vodkas. This spread massively and was the influence even on the bb charts....spawning more even more converts commercially and underground...star 69, celeda, digweed, lawler, deep dish, thunderpuss2000 etc...

later on, basically the scene was either u played fluff (commercial shite with rnb/gangsta), trance, tribal/prog or garage/sinclar francois funk...or in the uk...2step/"garridge".
and then house music went south b4 electro revived it in 08.

there u go mademoiselle...now u can improve yr tribal education...good luck

I like Acid Polka and Speed Waltz but everyone seems to play it safe in HK with some tech derivative be it minimal, intelligent click, or regressive progressive..

Move it forward folks - or bring back the Disco!!!

    Hey RobUSA,
check out the demo set I put together a couple of days ago:
LSquiD - Demo Set - SoundCloud

my left turntable f*cked up half way through though and I wasn't able to hear it in the headphone. But basically, the beginning is usually what I play. I find my turntables' lack of determination disturbing.
Tell me how you like it
