    Looking for music inspiration

Since moving to HK I am so out of touch with whats new in music, I have no idea what to buy as I dont get much access to music unless I actually just go out and buy a CD. So I have two questions:

    1. Where do you get your inspiration on what to buy/listen to.
    2. Any great songs/CD's, artists you would recommend listening to at the moment.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks.

Mel - you maybe know this already, but just in case, you can listen to most UK music radio stations through the internet now. BBC 6 Music is a great one for (slightly less mainstream) new music. I listen to Lauren Laverne's show and most days write down the name of an artist that I want to hear more of (then inevitably lose the piece of paper and forget the name).

Also, have you tried the Jango website? You can type in an artist that you like and then it plays continuous music from similar artists so you get to hear stuff that's new to you at least, even if it's not new in the music world.

    Mel

What bands do you currently like? Maybe we can suggest something similar.

You can download Winamp player and type UK Garage so you can listen to some of the UK's dance tune or Youtube and search for UK Garage. There's no need to buy CDs anymore when you can listen for free from the internet.
