Things to do in Hong Kong?

My friend is visiting from Canada and a couple of friends and I are going to show her around Hong Kong for "fun". Unfortunatley we don't know where to go or what to do. We don't want to go to ocean park and stuff so I was wondering what we could do. Any suggestions? Thanks

If your friend hasn't been before i suggest

take the cable car to the peak and have brunch one mid morning.
take the junk boat ride on the harbour.
    go to the big budda
go shopping in mong kok on a saturday night, or any night for that matter
dinner and drinks in soho one night

after that day you will be pretty exhausted.

    we usually do:
    yum cha at jumbo
    then to stanley market
after that head to the peak (i have a car, makes it MUCH easier)
if you are doing public transport, then take the tram DOWN to central
ferry across to TST, walk along harbour, then down nathan road (should be dark by that point)
    temple street night market

do you really have no ideas about where to take them?
    you can also do:
dinner in sai kung or on lamma
    tram to big buddha
forget a junk trip, too expensive, take a bunch of ferries instead:
    ie) star ferry central-tst
    star ferry tst-wanchai
    ferry wanchai-kowloon city?
    ferry north point-kwun tong etc

get on the tram and see where it goes, a FANTASTIC yet cheap way to see the north of hk island

a trip to shek o beach
    monkey hill in kowloon
computer shopping in golden centre, sham shui po
mongkok (personally HATE IT, but always take visitors)
a hike in one of the MANY country parks

If you're interested in a little local culture, you can check out the Chi Lin Nunnery and the Wong Tai Sin Temple. Both are easy to get to via the Kwun Tong Line (green MTR) in Kowloon. I checked both of them out last weekend. Definitely worth a visit

if you're more adventurous, you could try New Territories? Nan Sheng Wei, to see the rural areas of HK.

Or, you could take a boat ride from Tung Chung to see the white dolphins at Da Ao?
