    Hainan chicken

After years of my stay in HK, I finally come to like this chicken as it's boneless. I like one from Tsui Wah(?). Any others good place to try?

    Thanks.

I don't think that's the normal way - I guess they gave you the tourist version.

You could try Sargent's Hainanese chicken rice @ Food Republic foodcourts around town. From memory they are in TST, Olympic and couple of other spots. google that to confirm.

It originally comes with bones!??? I love roast goose but gave it up because of bones! Just wonder if anybody damaged their teeth by those bones...

Concur on Food Republic. Best I've had in town. Singaporean chain. Ask them for boneless.

Most locals would say that the best part of the bird is next to the bone. I agree.

I tried making it myself from scratch for the first time a rew months back and it was laborious but well worth th effort. People say tgat the chickens you get up here tend to have a hicker skin which is apparently undesirable to purists.

I have never seen Hainan chicken boneless. I agree - I only like chicken cooked with the bone in other than if I am back home and can do it on the BBQ and even then I prefer the bone in. Many men prefer bone in when they date. Many women like bone out. It is a preference.

    Hainan Chicken?

I thought that was the name of a submarine warfare tactic.

I think hainan chicken or other roast or BQQ stuffs are expensive as what we can really is so small.
