Haha, my friends and I were commenting on that very lack of a certain substance. Maybe then I would have been more accepting of all that reggae.

I've just returned to Hong Kong & have lots & lots of reggaeton/dancehall massif tunes....

Unfortunately most of my records are in the UK, but I've got loads held on my computer...

I used to do quite a bit of djing in London, but didn't think there was a market for my style of music here in HK.

What's the address of this place? Also, do you know of any other bars, who might be interested in such a night...

I'll make sure whoever helps gets a few free cds....

Reggaeton me up with dub big time daddio!!!!

    FAIRPLAY....

    Thanks Shafin,

I'm going to get on the case this weekend. I might also try out the Fringe. They claim to be one for the arts - what is more artistic than reggaeton/venezuelan ska/dancehall?!?!?

If I get a night, I'll let you know....

    Take it easy.....

WOO and BONECO, it would be amazing if you could get a regular reggaeton/dancehall night going. The club where I went is 1/5, the address is 9 Star Street, Wan Chai.

As for other venues, definitely try the Fringe Club. They seem quite open to experimentation and all kinds of music. I'm a member so I can probably help you book the venue (for cheaper!). Ask around at other places as well. Joe Bananas already has regular salsa nights, so they might be willing to give reggaeton a shot as well.

    Keep me posted!

Talking reggaeton in Shanghai or Singapore??

aia, only 3 months after I left Hong Kong, there is finally a Reggaeton night! there is still hope for HK I guess.

I am now in Shanghai until the end of December and will move to Singapore in January.

does anyone know if there are any clubs around in Shanghai or Singapore that play reggaeton regularly? (in addition to the usual hiphop, rnb, etc).

    thanks
