I read it somewhere before that there's this private dinning (meaning little restaurant with homemade food that is usually in a residential/commercial building) in Sheung Wan where they do Central American food by an American couple. Now I lost the article. Has anyone heard of that? Or you have any interesting/innovative idea for a New Year's Eve dinner? I have planned a very "commercialized" 5 star hotel Christmas eve dinner so I want to do something different from New Year's Eve. Any ideas?

We went to Magnolia once. I like the cocktails and canapes. Food was generous and authentic. My husband and in laws used to live in America so they really enjoyed it.
Where is Club Qing? Sounds fun. Can I have the contact please? Is it nice?
We went to Tai Ping Huo 4 times and still love it. However, it is not a place you can go very often...hee...too spicy!!! We only took the "right" people, visitors/family/friends who like very spicy food.

Club Qing is in a commercial building in LFK. They change their menus periodically. And yes, I do think Tai Pin Huo is too spicy for me.
