Tokyo's longest running regular leftfield music policy evening comes to Hong Kong at the Bassment Bar on Lyndhurst Terrace.
Right Right Right was set up in Tokyo in 2006 partly as a backlash against clubs, both mainstream and underground, which tend to play it all far too safe.
Our night was created with a view to venturing away from the middle of the road and was lovingly developed with a view to not sticking to any one genre.
As such we're genre intolerant and asked our guest DJ's to be the same.
Granted we got some of the biggest and most widely regarded names in Tokyo's club-land to play for us. However, our request remained the same. If the DJ's regular spot in front of 700 clubbers dictated what they 'could play' then we would ask them not to play that style of music, but to play from their influences, whatever and wherever that might be.
That's the key to our evening and this is what we want to bring to you all in HK. We will bring you guest DJ's from HK's most popular scenes and ask them to have fun with what they play and to ask them to break down the pigeon holes which their regular night imposes on them by very nature. We'll bring you the DJ's influences and ask them to play those records they can't normally play.
For the first evening we will have our regular residents in place to guide you along the path in this exciting social experiment.
Breaking away from the norm, two fingers up at the mainstream and two steps ahead of everyone else.
Big words for a big night
Come and join us if you're not getting enough and are thirsty for that vibe you can't quench at the McClub's on the island...
