Any gay/bi/queer women want to come to Les Peches party?

Les Peches (https://twitter.com/lespeches) does monthly parties for queer women & their friends, as I wanted to go to their next one but I don't have anyone to go with

Date: 30 Aug (or 6 Sept, I have to double check)

    Time: 8pm - ?

    Place: LaKage, LKF

Anyone want to come with? I'm a 20something, mixed, pansexual girl who grew up in HK and just finished uni abroad. Already dating someone but I think this would be a good place to make friends.

I am not trying to be funny here, just curious.

gay/bi/queer - what is the difference between gay and queer?

pansexual - what is the difference between bisexual and pansexual?

I must lead a very sheltered life as I had to google pansexual!

My guess is gay and queer are the same, but gay is probably the more PC way of describing same sex relationship.

Bi and pan sexual are the same. If it moves.....

nah, i'm just a bit nitpicky when it comes to labels.

"Queer" can mean more or less anything you want it to mean (gay, bi, whatever). It's ironically a label that both rejects and includes all labels.

"Bisexual" implies attraction to only two genders (men & women), but since I'm attracted to all kinds of genders I prefer to use "pansexual"

Actually, just wiki "queer" & "pansexual". The wiki pages for both terms are pretty well done.

I'm really curious to know about these other genders apart from male and female. Could you elaborate?

What is their visa status? Actually would love to see the HK bureaucracy cope with that.

If by "hermaphrodites" you mean transgendered people, then not really, since many trans people can also fall into the "man" and "woman" categories. Hermaphrodite is an outdated term anyways.

By other genders, I mean people who identify as genderqueer, neutrois, androgyne, blah blah blah. Here's a good place to begin reading more about that:Genderqueer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
