ok. I say it. I think 39 is not too young to say good bye.
If he has had a happy life then why feel sad?
Death is a reality of life.
Most people just clinge to life, understandably.

A relative of mine died at the age of 40 ( cancer ) when I was a kid.
So I have always assumed 40 is the, well, deadline for me.

Way too early! By your reckoning Morrison I'm already past my sell-by date
Consider myself in my prime now

I also consider myself in my prime.
But at the same time I am aware of the fact that I was born into a combination of very fortunate times & places that "guarantee" me a high life expectancy.
each additional moment is just a gift to a life that has been lived.
