Bond - Is there a new 'best' James Bond

For those over 45 the best ever James Bond actor is probably different than those under 30.

Some rave reviews for the latest instalment of the Bond franchise

Will you go and see it or wait for the next Smiley movie?

The best bond will always be Sean Connery. The worst is Timothy Dalton.

    Oh god no

George Lazenby and Pearce Brosnan were terrible.
I actually liked Dalton, He was darker than the others.

What's this smiley movie BS comment about, Yeasty ?

No self respecting James Bond fan would miss this movie, and I for one will see this instalment as well as add the Blu Ray version to my complete set. As to which Bond was best, I have to agree that Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and I will further add that George Lazenby didn't really cut the mustard.

My fave Bonds will always be Roger Moore and Sean Connery, but Daniel Craigs much more violent, Jason Bourne version of the franchise has been quite good over the past 2 films, Skyfall will be the best yet, even with a very young Q.

I really enjoyed Daniel Craigs performance in the film, Layer Cake and think he is the best man to carry the James Bond flag well into the future....

I went to the premiere event hosted by Aston Martin (they unveiled the new Vanquish). This movie definitely redeems the pile of crap called Quantum Solace. Skyfall also takes the effort to go back to the roots of older Bond movies by re-establishing/reaffirming some old/new characters.

Actually I think Roger Moore was the best...NOT. Some of the worse Bond flicks were made during his "reign" (i.e. Octopussy, A View to a Kill). That being said, I do have a soft spot for "Your Eyes Only", that was probably Moore's best Bond flick.

Totally agree. Saw Skyfall earlier and is so much better than Quantum! Daniel Craig is definitely one of the better Bonds in my opinion. Fave definitely Sean Connery....

Loved the opening credits - best I have seen in a long while. Film was not bad either!

I think my list goes -
    1. Sean Connery
    2. Timothy Dalton
    3. Roger Moore / Pierce Brosnan

I don't really care for Daniel Craig with all due respect, he doesn't have any charm and he's BLOND!!!

Brosnan should have become bond in 80s instead od 90s, he's got the worst inane scripts/stories...just ridiculous, but he still had the quintessential charm, that craig lacks...
