Sports bars (that show English football matches) in the New Territories?

Hi,

I'm moving in a couple of weeks to Yuen Long and was wondering how far I would have to go to catch premiership games when I'm sick of watching them on my laptop. A nice beer and a big screen is sometimes in order!

Anyone know of any sports bars around here then? And if you want to join me for a drink when the season starts, I'd be happy to!

Why not watch it at Wan Chai or CWB or TST even LKF?
There are some bars in Saigon that show it in Eng if that helps..

Saigon? I think we normally transliterate that as Sai Kung!

The King's Belly in Tai Po is another possibility in the NTs, but still a long way from Yuen Long. Maybe Medstars at the Gold Coast?

Thanks for your help guys. It really looks like I'm gonna have to nip into Tsim Sha Tsui or Central to find somewhere to watch the premier league at a bar. It kinda baffles me that there isn't a sports bar set up near Tuen Mun/Yuen Long though. I mean, there are tons of people there, surely there's a hole in the market?!

You could try the Better Ole in Sheung Shui. It is a short minibus ride away, and you would avoid having to hang out with the "island expats".

Wait, Sheung Shui is a short minibus ride away from Yuen Long? Am I reading my Hong Kong map wrong?!

Its 20mins from siu hong so its quick.

Sai Kung's the place for football, rugby, golf, motorcar, american gridiron (?)..watching.

20 ish minutes. Then 5 minutes walk from the bus to the bar. They have a Facebook page. Enjoy
