No Pants Subway Ride this Sun (Jan 12) - who's going?

The No Pants Subway Ride, started by Improv Everywhere in New York (back in 2002) is coming back for a second year in Hong Kong!

For those who aren't familiar with it, it's an annual event hosted by Improv Everywhere every January in New York City. It has since then grown into an annual global event. Participants wear normal winter clothes (jackets, boots, scarves, gloves, etc.) except for pants (the hint is in the name, people)! None of the participants behave as they know each other and they all behave normally (aka like they would if they had pants on another regular day) and keep a straight face on throughout their ride. This also means none of the participants are allowed to "recognize" each other or take photos/videos during the event.

    Find out more info:
Facebook event site (HK specific): https://www.facebook.com/events/620583991334845

    Improv Everywhere site (global): http://improveverywhere.com/missions...s-subway-ride/

    Date: Jan 12, Sunday
    Time: Meet at 3:30pm
Where: Meet outside RED Bar + Restaurant, IFC Mall, Central
    Price: Free

Who's going? Good luck to everyone who's joining the event - remember to wear your best undies (no thongs though, please!) and keep a straight face on at all times!

p.s. This is different from the No Pants Day, which happens in May!

Why do they pick the coldest time of year to do this?

Are we talking pants in American or proper English here. If proper English then doesn't this flout some decency law?

If proper English, people won't know. To use an Americanism, you'd be going 'commando'.

Just out of cultural interest, what do Americans wear under their "pants"?

Ha, like people won't take photos.. that is hilarious. There will be pictures taken all over...

Locals do not understand the concept of no taking pictures
