I stayed there on my first visit to HK many years ago. It left a nasty impression on me with its various smells, damp walls and trying to get out of the place without buying a suit. I re-visited the place when i arrived back here last year to see how it had changed...it hadn't one bit! The place is a dive...and that's being polite.

I remember waking up one morning about 5am, to hear this sound in the room somewhere of paper tearing. I carefully got out of bed and grabbed a shoe as my only means of weapon choice. As i got to the far side of the room, a giant rat, and when i say giant i mean giant, ran right into my leg and under the closet. I had to open the door and scare it (more than me) into the hallway for some other poor person to discover. Funny, i left there the next day!

i know a couple of new age hippies.... why are you looking for them again? being honest im mates with them and i dont even know where they are half the time.

unfortunately the hippys have come across a major problem. the thing is hk is prime material for protests right. i mean lets face it its not really environmentally friendly is it. the problem is that most of the new agers are so stoned that they cant really be arsed to get the bus all the way into central to then find that only 3 other people turned out. plus the fact that the goverment when under pressure will simply pack up its bags and be replaced with somebody else equally useless

the problem is nobody can be bothered to coordinate them.

there a couple of goths starting up in hk as well. ...we should crush them before that "craze" gets going

Why the hell would anyone contemplate dressing goth in HK? Imagine how hot you would be under layers of black clothing and a sweaty dog collar...and the humidity would really play havoc with their hair

BTW, Chunking Mansion has recently received a makeover and "cleaned up" its act, according to SCMP, and installed loads of security cameras etc. Anyone been there since?
