I read 1Q84 (all 3) a couple of months ago, very enjoyable and I still think about it.
There is a certain style which some may not like, but if you appreciate his sometimes repetitiveness nature this is an interesting story .

Seriously losing my patience with a local online book retailer- they provide a "tracking number" because the HK. mentality is that everyone does it so they should too. However, you can't actually track anything, the books are taking ages and what's worse is that delivery costs $39 so I opted to collect from their office. Could have saved myself some serious bucks and gone to Book Depository. This is why I find it hilarious when independent book sellers rant and rave when you mention Book Depository; unless you can play in the big leagues with the same integrated systems: real time tracking, guaranteed and free delivery and accessible customer service, then sit down.

I don't recommend the following book "retailer" at all:

Just like old Hong Kong cafes ... oh never mind. You know what I mean.

Nine Nasty Words - John McWhorter

He was on Bill Maher, sounded like an interesting fella

The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle - Stuart Turton.

One of the most interesting and enjoyable novels I've read for a long time.
