25 Best World Travel Movies - Gear Patrol
What films do you think best showcase Hong Kong? Which film do you think paints the least accurate portrait on Hong Kong?
I love the style of "In the Mood for Love." However, I don't know how accurate it portrays that era in Hong Kong since it was long before my time as an expat.
I love "Chungking Express."
I'm even mildly amused by Rush Hour 2. Particularly the scenes with Chris Tucker's character walking around experiencing things a tourist might experience (Being rustled into a tailor shop to get a suit made in TST, witnessing the near butchering of a live chicken at a wet market, encountering a less-than-courteous taxi driver).
The spectacularly bad TV mini-series of the wonderful novel "Noble House" (starring Pierce Brosnan) offered some great location shots and echos of actual historic HK events.
Those are a few movies off the top of my head.
