Since there isn't a thread about 2021 movies yet I'll post this here. Tony Leung is a fantastic actor and it's a shame he's virtually unknown to the English-speaking public.

But what is it about? Is it about a pilot coming out?

Yeah the homoerotic undertones were always there. From the volleyball scene to the pilots being half-naked in the locker room. Ironic for a movie promoting the US military, which is largely a conservative organization harbouring hidden anti-gay sentiments:

interesting to see what they say about the Mercer family behind all of it
Haha we watched the new Godzilla movie last night on my TV Box, kids thought it was great, I fell asleep after the first 20 minutes lol I need to watch it again, but it looked good from what little I saw of it.
Now this leaves me to what we thought of the new Lion King film..
Visually the film looks great, it is amazing what they have done in this regard, but the character vocal dialogue and music sound track just lacked emphasis, impact and depth.. Wasnt anywhere near as good sonically to the original animation soundtrack. So yes I was a little disappointed with the new one. Had the new movie had the original character and music soundtrack, it would have been an awesome movie, but just left me feeling a bit meh in regard to the sound/music..just a bit too thin.
At the end of the day, the kids loved it so that's what matters and I did enjoy what Disney have done for this film visually, but Scar sounded quite dull compared to Jeremy Irons, simba sounded so much more vibrant via Jonathan Taylor Thomas / Mathew Broderick, Whoopie Goldberg as Shenzi and Mufasa even though it was still using James Earl Jones, had lost a lot of impact, sounded all a bit dull flat. SAme with the songs ie a bit flat.
There you go
It's already available outside the cinema? Interesting. Personally, I found actually the music to be an improvement over the first Godzilla movie. I liked how they used the original Godzilla score. As for the characters, I found the the first one had too much time with them, killing off the most interesting Bryan Cranston character early in the movie, and not enough Godzilla. For the new one, the character dialogue is a bit flat I agree. But as a Godzilla fan, that is what appeals to me. The movies were never about the human characters but the big G stomping in cities and firing his atomic breath. So I am satisfied .
Lion King though I absolutely agree, saw it, and had a "meh" expression. Nothing new there. It's just the same story done in live-action. I actually prefer the original. Here's hoping Mulan is more interesting.
Watching it on a 2D format made it even more boring so did the presence of audience i.e I was expecting a full house but the seats were largely unoccupied. I had never felt so "lonely"
I am looking forward to watching The Terminator 6 .The trailer already looks boring af though.
