Really? I haven't seen it, (nor the female ghostbusters), but that's not what I heard, nor what the tale of the tape attests to...

Yes Ocean's 11 was the best but I think Oceans 8 was fresher than 12 and 13. Gender made no difference. They followed the heist movie formula.

Lol do you have reading disabilities?

I never watched Ghost Shell movie. But unfortunately I have watched Dragon Ball evolution. Which is one of the greatest failures in movie history. Both Shell and Dragonball were a flop. Perhaps it has something to do with the cast(s)?

Not so fast twinkle tits, if black is controversial in the royal family then it's definitely controversial for bond.

I would argue the British press were much harsher on Sarah Ferguson.

    I’d agree.

Megan is widely disliked because she didn’t fit in. How much of that inability to fit in is down to her ethnicity is undoubtedly a talking point. Even if people feel they can’t ‘gopublic’ with their true viewpoints.

Even having a blonde bond sparked some controversy when first considered.

I'm still pretty sure the next bond will be on Amazon Prime rather than on the big screen, and that the switch to a TV serialisation will make any transition of the character easier.

Remember opening with Daniel Craig's first kill in Casino Royale was considered a “back story” as we already knew the character... it'll need a fair bit more development if they are doing more than changing the hair colour.

Plus it would be rather odd to reboot the films yet again after the line drawn by the end of NTTD, which itself must have been endorsed by the rights holders. James Bond Will Return somewhere and somehow.

I honestly do not see the appeal of having Lashana Lynch as the new James. If I want LGBTQ+ washed out movies with super powerful women I just have to watch Netflix.

Lea Seydoux was great in the movie. Lashana? I found her extremely boring, no charisma. I am just tired with that Hollywood strategy of forcing all this diversity & inclusion to us. I worked for corporate America and kept being bombarded with it. I have friends from all colours and backgrounds, I could not give two fucks what you do with your body as long as you are not targeting kids.

To me the way I see it, it is a way to divert the public opinion on the real problems, which is the class system with the people who have and the have nots.

I went to public school with all kinds of ethnicities, it never occured to me they were different. Now they keep talking about it so I'm sure people will get more and more riled up about it.

James Bond is supposed to be Scottish and kick asses. Can someone explain to me how a woman can take over the role? If they had gone for Idris Elba I would have been totally fine, he is a great actor and you could picture it as a kickass James Bond.

If you want to see how you can picture a strong female spy character then watch The Bureau, Sara Giraudeau does an amazing job at it.

What's next? A remake of Lord of the Rings with Aragorn being an LGBT "coloured" midget with a prosthetic arm who claim to be non binary and does not want to fight orcs because they are being misunderstood and coming from a poorer background?

The problem is Plutark that the West is on a mission. There doesn't have to be a logic to it and it is so easy for plenty to jump on the bandwagon just to be seen to be 'modern'.

The thing that LGBT, BLM and other organsisations seem to constantly conveniently overlook (much to my own frustration as well) is that sexual and racial discrimination needs to be stamped out and that simple edict gets the support of many. They don't need to re-invent James Bond or something similar to achieve it.

Yes it DOES matter that the next James Bond is not a black lesbian. What would be more than acceptable is that the next James Bond movie introduces, say, a 008 who is actually that black lesbian that ticks all the right boxes. Hey presto you then have an entire spin off with a completely blank canvas and no rewriting of the original Bond character so the 007 franchise can continue in situ as well.
