Hong Kong Pipers...

Not sure if their members do the various Burns nights and Scottish events around town.
Also worth contacting any Gurkha or Nepalese associations you can think of. When a security contract was changed at our estate they had did a rather impressive march out of the building led by pipers.
Finally ... St Andrews Society has some suggestions - look at the music related FAQ. Might be worth contacting them.

Thanks Shri,
As an ex Gurkha Officer myself, I should have thought about it, but 25 years after Handover there won't be many pipers still here !
This was our Pipes and Drums, in '72 !
I will follow up, thanks again!

"Rfn Nimeshkumar Gurung, a piper with the 1RGR Trailwalker team preparing to run in the Hong Kong Trailwalker on 20 November, played before and after the meal."
One of my fond memories of Hong Kong was a Sunday afternoon trip across to Aberdeen and coming across a random piper playing at the side of the road. Not busking, not even in a busy bit of town, just playing for his own pleasure.
Sorry, didn't get his name or contact details.
