Saltburn - Plodding, predictable anti-opulence how will he do it with unnecessary vulgarity

Holdovers - Charming, touching and heart wrenching / warming tale of the social misfit in all of us.

Drive My Car has been in my queue for a while. It's THREE hours long and subtitled. Worth the time and effort but it took three sittings to complete because it requires your full attention.

    Excerpt from the linked review
“Drive My Car” is primarily based on a thin, blunt short story by Haruki Murakami. For the movie, Hamaguchi (who wrote the script with Takamasa Oe) has greatly expanded on the story’s central dynamic . . .

Drive My Car was good if a little drawn out and is based on an amalgam of Murakami stories, not just one (why it gets confusing and goes too long, I think).

The Holdovers is an amazing movie straight out of 1971 New England. Giamatti's best role since Lodge 49 (humor) and Billions (drama).

New Paul Thomas Anderson movie scheduled for release sounds intriguing, but has no title yet.

Also, not a film but Season 5 of Fargo is its best season yet (last episode hits 16 Jan).

The similarities to the original trailer are rather painful ... https://youtu.be/UrIbxk7idYA

Just watched 'The Apartment' about a flat share in late 1950's Manhattan.

    A very good movie
