And you know how discounted deals work online in HK ...

People were sent into online queues with hours of waiting within minutes of the clock striking noon as the HK$30 Cinema Day tickets went on sale today, with moviegoers rushing to snag seats at a discount of almost 70 percent off from regular days.

What is the cinema experience like in HK? Am I likely to be annoyed by the screen lights of people's phones for the duration, or is the etiquette good?

Went to the cinema to watch Oppenheimer for the first time after COVID. People were using WeChat push to talk, chatting to each other, checking Instagram, someone even took a phone call at their seat. Not bothering with the cinema anymore.
