    Australia Day

    Hi All

Does anyone know of any parties on Australia Day? or should I expect it to be quiet because of Chinese New Year?

    Thanks

You're not a real Australian. What real Australian would let any other celebration get in the way of an Aussie party?!?

Anyway here's an Australian Day Lunch organised by Austcham.

I'm sure there will other posts about parties from real Aussies who would never let CNY stop a booze up.

I'm a real Aussie and I promise not to let a small event CNY slow me down when there is serious drinking to be done.

Just wondering if it will slow others down and if there is an event.

Thanks for the suggestion but not really looking for the corporate/networking style event. Prefer a relaxing pub.

The Kangaroo Bar would be my choice for a knees up.

    Is anybody celebrating today?
With CNY this place is dead today!
Surely there should be something happening at a pub?

Bulldog's LKF or Kangaroo Bar I guess.

I noticed also a big banner talking about "Toss the boss" or something like that above the bar at the bottom of the Centrium (next to Wagyu on Wyndham). Not sure if you could toss your boss in the ground floor bar or in Dragon-i upstairs.

Just been to Bulldogs, where the ocker accents were somewhat scary. Hubby and i spent the rest of the afternoon pretending we were poms.

Off to 13 Old Bailey in soho tonight to test their aussie day atmosphere.

    Cheers,

Oh right, so you're being picky here - you want not only Australian, but posh Australian? That narrows it down rather a lot
