    Cafes in Wanchai

Does anyone know of nice comfortable cafes with decent coffee in wanchai? - think somewhere perfect for curling up with a good book...i.e. not MacDonalds...

Star Street Wanchai is probably your best bet.

Epoch cafe will cater for most of your wants, and on a good day, their coffee ( latte ) is quiet o.k. Atmospherically, it's quiet good, and has a good feel.

yes thank you...I have already seen that and it is equally useless.

My attempts to find somewhere have so far thrown up
Organic Land on Hennesey road...v small though
    The Brunch Club (Causeway Bay)
Epoch Coffee Bar & Desserterie on star street...v expensive I imagine, although coffee looks reasonable
Cafe Zambra, jaffe rd - a chain but reasonably nice
Cafe O, jaffe rd - nice but not comfortable

Oh where are the comfy cafes of old?
And why can I smell weed coming through the air-con ventilation...?

The Pacific Coffee across from Hopewell is pretty good. Habitu on Queens Rd looks nice, but the noise levels go up to around 80 decibels with the street traffic.

Ok...it may not be independent, but Cafe Habitu on the way in to Admiralty looks like my best bet...somewhere to sit, enjoy coffee and lounge without fear of being chucked out or stared into submission by arsey staff...t'will do.

Dunno if you've listed this already, but have you tried the cafe on corner of Fenwick and Lockhart? Never been there myself, but looks decent and has outdoor seating on a patio as well. It's right above "The Fenwick". Dunno what its called.
