Looks like the kind of film that doesn't end up being shown here, so I'm not wasting too much time getting excited about seeing it in a cinema. Hopefully I'm wrong though!

    Brüno (2009) - Release dates

The dvd will be out before some distributor figures out the potential for moolah from this flick
Singapore is slated for 20th August so expect rumblings to start around then.

    In the meantime.....

This is kinda bullshit when even SINGAPORE is airing it and Hong Kong isn't...

Really annoying if this doesn't get a cinema release.

We have 30 odd cinemas all showing the same 5-6 films on rotation. Surely there must be room for at least one of the smaller chains to take it?

It really does suck though how limited the film selection is here.

What also gets me is when we get animated films, because they are supposedly for kids (baaah!) they are dubbed in Chinese (which is fine, but...), and are not subtitled in English! So I can't watch them!!! Makes me angry!

Broadway/AMC will start showing it on 10th September. I suspect the logic is that a large part of the target audience is away on their summer hols (although I guess quite a few of them will have watched it there).
