I went recently to Disney Land, the typhoon signals caused attractions to close, but the rain meant less visitors and it was a special cheap rate at the hotel. As you probably already aware it's really small, several of the attractions are actually closed for summer undergoing renovation to boot. There is only one mini-roller coaster, Space Mountain, and you can only take the Buzz Lightyear ride a few times before needing a change. So very excited to hear about the expansion plans from Disney and the HK government.
Have a look at these maps though,
The expansion being discussed isn't the big phase 2 area to the south, its the tiny yellow area between the current park and the hotels. A new map fills in the area showing the attractions,
Toy Story Land looks like small stalls, Mystic point might be another theatre, and Grizzly Trail is a train ride.
Doesn't look like HK$5 billion goes far does it?
