Looking for a Music band to Jam

Hi,
I Just arrived from Malaysia, where i had a band there. We play part time at functions and clubs. So its been 3 weeks here in HK and itching to meet fellow amateur musicians who are looking to jam together.

My contribution in the band to be the lead singer. I sing seventies and eighties music..deep purple, Dobbie Brothers, ELO, U2, Level 42 among others. If there similar like minded people who wish to get together to jam, pls PM me.

Hi Rav,

If you're still looking for a place to jam, here are a couple of places where you can go...

Monday nights at The Wanch in Wan Chai, 54 Jaffe Road

Tuesday nights at Peel Fresco in Soho, 49 Peel Street, Central

Thursday nights at Joyce Is Not Here, 38-44 Peel Street, Central (right across the street from Peel Fresco, basically same owners)

Those are the ones I know, but I'm sure there are some more around town.

There are a couple of other spots, but those are more jazz oriented. If you're interested in them as well, let me know and I'll send you a note. Good luck and hope to run into you sometime somewhere. Cheers.

thanks for the jam location. For starters i hv to form a band first.. before i can jam..still looking for ppl.

As I understand it, the way those jam sessions work is that individuals just turn up and join in with the others there on an ad hoc basis - they don't expect entire bands to turn up.

Hey Rav,

Open mic tonight at The Wanch, you should just go down there to check it out. Maybe just do something with just you and your guitarist and see who else can you meet there. You'll never know who you might bump into...
