Marco Polo Hotel German Beer and Food Festival
德國啤酒節香港馬哥孛羅酒店, German Beer Festival Marco Polo Hotel Hong Kong , Deutsch Beer Festival Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel

    Which to choose tonight?

The Wine festival is free entry and only open this weekend. $10 per 40mL wine sample.

The Beer festival is $180 entry with a free Beer and mug. Open until November 14. Food is around $100 for a few sausages. $70 for a beer, $50 for soft drink/mineral water.

Anyone been to either? What are the prices for food at the Wine festival like?

Went to the Wine Festival last night. Prices for food were reasonable--satays were $10 a piece and you could get cornets of salami for $30. Well worth it IMO. Some of the wine dealers even gave me free glasses of wine to try (and IMO the free glasses were by far the best of the night)!

Thanks for the info. We went to the beer festival. There was grumbling about the beverage prices but if you're a big beer drinker you can get a 5L keg of Lowenbrau or Becks for $450.

There were lots of tables and the main course dishes were generous portions and priced in the mid-range.

I guess the main drawcard is the German band for its atmosphere and the fact it's relatively easy to get a table. Being able to sit all night and drink beer leads to some rowdy atmosphere. People were dancing on the tables.
