    There are similar establishments?

Worlds best bars comments are much along the lines of some of the negative comments here.

Jimbo who I normally find myself never disagreeing with must be secretly getting some of the 'Feather Boa' to shill for what seem some real clowns.

I have never been to a bar where they had an apology on the front door from some unruly former patron. How stupid is that even if an apology was part of the retribution for something done to them?::

That's true. Some of us have probably tried to sneak in with a cheap G2000 shirt and they like you probably can spot those a mile away. Kind of like when the bikers back in North America arrive at a bar wearing colours as they say- they call the cops to get them out.

When we wander through Soho and look inside this august establishment will we find you there?

No wonder you didn't reply to my PM that dreadnought, Shri and some other posters here were going to Schnurrbarts in LKF. Jimbo was too busy getting the 'Feather Boa'.

Anyway Feather Boa is for the poors.

The new trend now is that yacht that was mentionned in another thread...now that is Grand Style.

In any case I will never understand the reason why ppl would pay 100+ for a drink since 90 % of that price is for the "location", "staff" and "decoration/music"...

And mind you I am in banking so I should be one of those (given the stereotype on here) hanging in those places all the time.

And I do not wear G2000 but I find it absurd to criticise ppl who might wear this. It is a good, relatively cheap brand with stores conveniently located.

    The rest is just snobism.

Agree with you fully mat, too many people are brainwashed by 'status' and the desire to be superior in some meaningless way. Funny thing is, when I watch documentaries about chimpanzees I see too many similarities for comfort.. we're all acting on animal instincts and somehow that's manifested itself into g2000 shirts and yacht clubs.

FINDS is the same and $100 plus for a drink, plenty of Bars around that charge that sort of money.

Mat, The banking industry is full of snobism and every man and his dog knows that.

Its common knowledge that I don't like G2000 only for the following reason, The quality of the material and the cut I don't like, They don't last long.

I would rather spend $1000 on a shirt thats going to last me years than $300 that might survive a year. I have 80 pound shirts from London I've had for 5 years and they still look good as new, I can't see that happening on a $300 shirt.

    Justjoe

Image and status is the HK way, its always been like that.
If you don't like it then just go elsewhere, I go to places because I like it not because I have to because its a way of 'networking'

Billion club, Dragon I, etc etc I won't go to. Full of spoilt brats and gold diggers and so forth.
