Places you can dress up at???

Last time we were in town, I don't think I saw one glam girl in a bar, club or restaurant. The closest was this hot woman in Lane Crawford and she was European.

In Sydney, we are used to heels and designer dresses as much as shorts and thongs so I am wondering if there are any hot clubs or bars you can dress up at without people staring at you????

I remember feeling like a slag for wearing stilettos and a knee length designer dress cos people would stare at you!!!!

Or will I be seen as a hooker???????

    Exclamation

you obviously went to the wrong places.
    for starters:
Dragon I (wednesday is model night but every day there are beautiful ppl): not new but still going strong, my personal favorite, and I really like the music
Drop: also hard to get in, small but very nice, many caucasians
Volar (you have to be really bootiful go get in : a couple of months but still quite hot, ppl quite arrogant IMHO
Mooch (the newest, only opened a couple of weeks ago): been there only once in its first week but it seemed to have potential to rival Dragon I/ Volar

even in these clubs get used to being stared at, it's more likely your skin color than you dress (I suppose you are caucasian?).

need more advice, let me know.
    cheers

No, I'm Chinese but born in Australia. We went to Dragon-i last time but it must have been the wrong night cos there was hardly any people and they looked boring.

I've been to a couple of the other places you mentioned but I'm not sure I saw people really dressed up? I'm talking Manolos and a hot dress. What is the door policy like at Volar? I'm nothing special but haven't had a problem anywhere in Sydney before and dependent on what I'm wearing, can skip the queues on occassion. Is it the same in HK or do you have to be a dumb slag/model/singer dating someone rich???
