    Dangerous religion

You walk down an average street, say Lockhart Road in Wan Chai, and it is full of their churches. They grab you and try and force you into their services. Especially during the happy clappy services called "happy hour" which due to the irrationality and lack of scientific understanding of the followers of this religion last half the day.

The followers of this religion believe it makes you a better person, a better singer, better dancer, more attractive to the opposite sex (or the same sex if you are that way inclined), more intelligent and a better fighter. They ignore all the scientific evidence which clearly shows it causes you to lose all rational thought.

Millions of people have died over the years as a result of this religion (both followers and innocent bystanders including young children). Millions of other lives have been wrecked or made miserable.

While other religions have set up hospitals and charities, the followers of this religion just become patients at the hospitals or recipients of the services of the charities.

Young children, 14 in my case, are dragged into the churches and brainwashed into thinking this is how to live your life.

I have read loads of books and articles and they all agree, this religion is bad for your health and that of people around you.

Reason, logic and rational thought must prevail. Whenever you see a thread asking for a good bar or club (it is what they call their churches) you should immediately post links to all the health warnings and arguments against this evil. Don't let them win, think of your children and how they will be brainwashed into worshipping in the Old China Hand - a fate worse than death itself.

I am setting up a group to help with this fight. Next meeting 6pm, Dog House, Wan Chai.

Nice thread. Are there any restrictions on who may contribute to this thread?

No restrictions but you need to have the secret password which is: "myfriendloveyoumatewhatsyournameagain".

There is also an initiation ceremony where you go to the prayer room (the one with a picture of what looks like a man on it) and vomit into the white altar.

By the way the religion is called "piss" and the priests therefore called "pissheads".

I don't partake in this religion either. At least I'm consistent.

Sadly this religion is exclusionary and discriminatory as well, as it is mainly populated by old, fat, white Brits and Aussies.

Well it has hasn't it? There were two threads started, were amusing for a short while then shut down. The third became interesting for a while, if only because it was allowed to progress as a discussion. This is the fourth thread on religion in a week.

It's not really on religion is it? Dangers of jet lag, get to type rubbish at 6am.

Sorry Hull! Now I've re-read it. I saw the title, knee-jerk reaction! I've now "liked" it, quite funny!
(what is it with you men and jet lag? I am over jet-lag from UK in two days - yet Mr SS and Mini-S take a week!)
