That's an interesting theory. Apparently it often happens near (unlit) fire places.
Yeah, who's idea was it to choose doctors, coroners and police to be forensic expertsOriginal Post Deleted
TS, kind of a dumb comment, even by your standards..
TS, there are cases recorded of spontaneous combustion occurring nowhere near open fires, sources of electricity or other common causes of fire. How would you explain these?
Dude, you can't tell the difference between a crab pot and a rubbish bag and last week you bought a watch that the makers had said had all sorts of magical properties, then came on here to complain about it when it didn't work!! You have no credibility.Original Post Deleted

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Bryant himself was joking, and it's actually gone over *your* head.Original Post Deleted
My take on spontaneous combustion... there is another external cause of fire. Explanations that it could be some kind of internal chemical reaction don't work because usually the outside of the body is burnt more than the inside. but upon burning, the body + clothes work like some kind of inside-out candle... explaining why the rest of the room can often remain untouched.
This is from my vague memory of some kind of science tv programme I watched years ago!
It happens ... video evidence:
British Family Guy - YouTube
Thank you for the links, I will have a read. I wasn't being argumentative but I do find it intriguing.Original Post Deleted![]()
