did anyone watch this? I had no idea it was estimated 140 thousand people have tattoos in HK now. As a tattoo artist myself I must say they did not show the amount of appreciation people have for the art form and interviewed a bunch of young guns that made mistakes with their tattoos. It's nice to know it is (slowly) being more accepted here now though.

A lot of younger ppl are getting them now. Almost everyone at the local music (underground scene) events has them. There definitely seems to be a rise of alternative (for lack of a better weird) culture as of late.

The report was more about tattoo removal rather than the cultural and artistic side of tattooing, which is why it mostly features individuals who wish to remove/modify their existing tattoo(s).
To each their own really. Some people make silly choices when they first get tattooed, so they seek to get it removed at a later age, or get it covered up/modified like the client that was interviewed in the Star Crossed Tattoo segment.
I do hope to see a report on the artistic and cultural side of tattooing though!
