    Your last meal?

After reading luckycat's thread about any regret if you were to die tonight, just got me thinking.

If you were sentenced to death and given a chance for a last meal worth $4000HKD, what would it be? The budget is maximum $4000 and can consist of anything adding up to that value.

    For me, would be:

Fresh sashimi of many types of fish including poisonous blowfish, aged prime rib with garlic mashed potatoes, and whatever money remaining use it for the best glass of red wine I could get.

    Oh, none of this shenanigans:

    Blowfish is actually quite bland....

Edit: tough question, will require quite some consideration....

I'm going to have to do this in bits. Dessert - English strawberries with clotted cream, some of my mother-in-law's raspberry pavlova (if my dear Nan was still around it would be her fabulous apple & blackberry pie!) and a glass of good dessert wine. Espresso coffee as I can't ever have at dinner cos it stops me sleeping! And a glass of Hennessy XO.
    Now to think about main/appetiser....

Christmas Dinner, and given how much I gorge every year, it probably will be my last meal...

Appetiser: Sashimi also a fave of mine, I'd choose medium fatty tuna, sea urchin, scallops. Served with a medium-bodied Japanese sake.
Main is proving a difficult choice!

Seems a common theme, the beef main. Here's my decision for main coursethough I maybe pushing the budget a bit!
Kobe beef prepared by Japanese teppan-yaki chef with the garlic chips, asparagus, broccoli and garlic rice (also prepared on the teppan).

Already had my favourite meal cooked for me by Thomas Keller so I'd ask him to do the same but more.
