The time I flew with Aeroflot, they gave me vodka when I asked for water. Then I said, "no not vodka, water please". Flight attendant replied, "vodka?"..

    True story.

    Doesn't bear thinking about, really...

I'm not sure why GD has actually gone for the Russian citizenship--by moving to Belgium he quite effectively removed himself from the reach of the French tax collector--expatriation (assuming he intends to take that rather drastic step) is simply unnecessary if the 75% tax is his main motivation.

In Russian, vodka means "little water". "Voda" is "water".

Hmm I see. I see the root of the confusion here, but still...

Anyway, I did take the vodka, but still managed to get a cup of water too.

Mind you, when I landed in Moscow, the two seats next to me (no passengers there), fell forward, like loose cushions, when landing. Not very comforting..

Mostly likely as a PR stunt and part of a campaign against the 75% proposed tax. In any case, GD probably figures an extra passport could come in handy (although with a Russian passport I'm not so sure, 'guess going to North Korea might be useful, haha).
