In Britain, there was once a tablet, said to reduce appetite, taken by people who were trying to lose weight. It was called Aids.
It meant something else then. Times have changed.
Shrugs. Being "gay" also once meant something else too. But if you say you felt "gay" today, people will think you are referring to your sexual orientation, not your state of mind.
So meaning changes. That's life, whether you like it or not.
