If you get a higher score on the SAT you are not guaranteed admission. If you bribe the coach, you are guaranteed admission.

I haven't read enough of the detail to see if everyone who bribed coaches was accepted. But I do think another thing it highlights is that some coaches of random sports clearly have eyes full of $$ when they see how little they are paid compared to say the head football or basketball coach.

They will be back after taking a break in bigger and better roles in entertainment, business or politics.

People need to object strongly by spending money and supporting the more ethical companies out there. And more ethical is not really saying much.

The US system isn't about to go away. College sports bring hundreds of millions to the university and some sports coaches are paid millions to coach college sports while the athletes gets pretty well nada apart from scholarships. It's a flawed system but it funds a lot of things that wouldn't be there otherwise.

Let's face it anyway, the benefit of a big name university is in no way the education but the name power and the connections you might make. There's not much a university can teach you that you can't learn on your own but you gotta get the piece of paper to act as a ticket to bigger and better things. The true learning takes place in the workplace when you are actually doing things.

They should spend time at Mr Trump's pleasure. Average bribe $64 average sentence 2 years.

This is not a victimless crime.

    Nope, that's universal... where's there's a man/woman, there's a potential bribe.
