Blunt Talk was a dud. More due to the writing than Patrick Stewart.

We’ve watched a couple of episodes of Little America, a set of short immigrant stories. Good grounded family viewing, my 7 year old son was totally engrossed by it, which was excellent to see.

Briarpatch has landed in our weekly 'must watch' list. The first episode had just the right amount of dark humor and intrigue to keep us going for a few more.

Saw it on Netflix - seems like a Narnia type series. Is it?

No. Very much not. More like light thriller / horror but well done with good acting, not over the top.

It's based on the comic book written by Joe Hill - Stephen King's actual son.
