Watched the first episode of Kin which aired today and have to say its pretty similar to Gangs of London, but with an entirely Irish accented English dialogue, which is fine once acclimated. The first episode wasn't particularly special, and not as well done as my benchmark for these types of crime shows, Mr Inbetween, which kicked off right from the start and hooked me to want to watch and enjoy every single episode there on. I sincerely hope Kin improves somewhat, because the first episode was a bit Ho hum.

Have you watched 2002's Time Machine?

I don't think Mr Inbetween is the same genre. Mundane brutality of organised crime v glamourised thrill of gangland culture. The trails and tribulations of a foot soldier for hire vs power struggles of the upper tiers of the gang families.

I do think Mr Inbetween is a very good watch.

The Cast of Kin looks amazing! Ciaran Hinds, Aidan Gillan and Charlie Cox!
