    This came up on my Facebook and I thought it was a spoof but no, April 19th is indeed the day of Saint Expedite the patron saint of urgent causes. So next time someone tells you to expedite something remind them what happened to Expiditus

    According to the internet scourged to get a denial of faith then when he refused beheaded in front of his troops.

    Had you heard of him or knew "expedite" was based on a Saint? Was news to me.

    No, I have not heard of him before.
    After having read the wiki articles about him in various languages I don’t see how you arrive at that conclusion.
    Do you refer to the tale about the crow telling him to wait with his conversion ?

    His death I got from this one. It was the only one I looked at so not saying it is accurate.
