The miracle of this surgery. On the side view, you can barely see the fracture line, an amazing job.

To give some perspective on just HOW small she is, my building manager sent me this photo just now from the first day we had her (I am sitting on the floor of the lobby). The other (close up) pics, well, she looks bigger...

Ditto all of the above. Vets are fabulous (but expensive). The last thing they want is amputation or putting an animal to sleep but they also know when those courses of action are in a pets best interests.

Stitches OUT yesterday, bone has formed a callus, so the fracture is healed, which is good as she is running around more than she was supposed to- although I did manage to keep a lid on it for over a week while she healed. Here she is on someone's lap at work yesterday after the stitches were removed (the removal hurt a bit and they said still shouldn't chew the site so I left the collar on yesterday but it's off now. She will sit on anyone's lap, very outgoing and friendly. Mishka (my cat) is resigned and will lie on one side of me with Mimi on the other. But nice for him to have a break when she goes to the office with me (which she will every day, looking for a nice backpack now), since she does too much chasing which I need to police. She still does not go up to the loft, not sure why, it's a regular stairway, so Mishka has his refuge- that's always been his spot anyway. Working out better than expected. Hair even grew back very fast and the incision is now flattening (had some raised scar tissue but seems to be settling down). She is now over 1kg! Still skinny because she put all the weight into getting very long...(second pic is me with her being long, I can still work so, whatever).

Without the collar...looking like a normal kitten, chillin' with me in bed, sending out e-mails and other stuff I shouldn't be doing on a Saturday night of a holiday weekend...
