These are the same people who scream about freedom of speech.
Tossing a shoe is one thing but sadly these things inspire hatred and worse.
What the UK people should be modeling to the Chinese Premier is civility and dialogue versus things that just give the Chinese leader reason to distrust free and open discourse as possibly leading to bad things.
Were the people yelling "shame" referring to the shoe tosser? I am not sure because it sure seemed that the audience clapped for a prolong period of time after and that was for the speaker.
Do remember that he's a dictator. As such, tossing a shoe is probably too good for him.
Doesn't seem very mature, though. Plus the guy sounded German, so I don't know what all this guff about the UK people "modeling" is.
Trying to think of some impressive puns, but the juices just aren't flowing. Help?
I thought it was plain rude and was appalled that it happened in my alma mater.
hmmm.... did anyone call it rude when the Iraqi reporter threw his shoe at Bush?
