I know that this has been discussed before but what I thought was funny is that after the guy drove off or attempted to stop the car and failed epically. The police man put the guy back in the car (this time in the back seat) instead of actually taking full control of the situation. Like someone previously said he would of been on the ground in the first place! Anyway the drunk guy should have been either taken from the car in the first place or cuffed after that second collision.
Just a question. How does someone that is that drunk, with a head injury actually co-ordinate his actions to drive from the passenger seat? That would be hard if your sober. Could he be just trying to steer it if it has been moving by itself?
For the angry people out there, being angry does not make you right, it just means your angry.
The family and friends of the taxi driver will be suffering thats for sure, however have you ever met anyone who has accidentally killed someone, they also suffer internally for the rest of thier life, so even if there is jail or there is no jail, they have thier own personal hell to deal with.
Watching the video again, it looked like when he crashed into the oncoming taxi, the drive was actually uphill?
don't know how accurate this is, but Kelsey Mudd was born in Hong Kong ???
Hong Kong murder accused 'has done nothing wrong'
From the newspaper..."Mudd holds both an Australian and American passport, was born in Hong Kong and moved to San Francisco at age nine."
if this is true, there probably wasn't even a language barrier with the driver....
spooky - most expat kids cannot speak enough canto to save their lives - and despite what the ESF will have you believe, they will not be able to speak Mandarin either.
In my opinion, the kid is a cold blooded killer. Being drunk is no excuse. His 3x indulgence and harrasment beating of the driver killed the driver, injured others, destroyed vehicles, and attempt to flee is sickening. This guy should be given the maximum penalty for murder.
I just watched the youtube link again and one thing it does show is that, when they get him out of the car after its driven away/rolled away he's in the drivers seat.. wether this was him trying to stop the car or he'd been driving is unknown.
For most of the time its moving.. it sounds like its rubbing against the barriers/bollards on the outside of the road, so it makes me wonder if he was actually trying to drive it or not.
Yes but there is a gap between the final crash and the shot of him being taken out of the car so it is an unknown whether he was in the driving seat at the time of the crash. Too many unknowns which perhaps the trial will clear up. IF he did cause the taxi to crash by fighting with the taxi driver, and IF he did drive off in the taxi then he deserves to get the book thrown at him but they are IFs at this point.
very true...
Its possible he couldn't of gotten out of the passenger side door as it was that side that had the impact so its possible he climbed over giving the camera's the opportunity to film him in the drivers seat.
Who knows.. I certainly don't, I just hope the jury are able to get facts so that if he is innocent they manage to prove this.
