Agree with your sentiment Virago but:

Wasn't that the Persians? Xerxes rings a bell.

Well, yes, Mohammad is responsible for that. It's not that silly is it?

You could have showed us that you're street by saying:

    You'll learn.

Anyway, King was a believer in the "just war" doctrine; also, I am not sure that Bin Laden qualifies as an "enemy" (one just happens to be on the wrong side) as much as someone who was a murderous psychopath who is responsible for the death of many tens of thousands of fellow mulsims. If King were here, I don't think he would have much good to say about Bin Laden.

FT, dear oh dear!! Gone off tangent again... so what if this is a fake or not?? That is besides the point. Bryant is not conveying the merits of MLK.. but quoting a passage that speaks for all decent human beings... not plonkers or idiots such as yourself.
You may be gung ho just because in your fantasy Hollywood world, the cowboys beat the Indians.... but as human beings we look at the bigger picture.
Now, do you agree with the Quote?

Show me which post I drew this analogy? Where did I mention Ai Wei Wei?
You are trying to distract again... aren't you... you naughty boy.....

Now, again how would you perceive the situation if China, Russia or Iran decides to take out their enemies on US soi?.

    1) "it is not illegal in any way. The president has the authority to order military action, etc., etc. It was a military action"

    2) if something is clearly extrajudicial (what the spooks would call "covert"), it is ever justified? In some cases, such as this one the answer should be 'yes'

    3) "Murder" is a legally-defined term. He was "killed"

Haha, yes you are right about Mohammad.

If you think Xerxes being a tyrant overthrowing Athens as a democratic society then yes I supposed so.

But, on balance, I find his posts are well written and well thought out, you may agree or disagree with whatever he writes, but that's besides the point.

Not yours - you got in ahead of me and I was too lazy to go back and edit.

Virago this is what I was talking about. No idea whether it pre-dates Athenia:

    Cyrus Charter of Human Rights

Not relevant to this post. Mind you, TheBrit spouting off critiques of peoples' personalities isn't either.

There's the TheBrit that I missed! He's back after somewhat of a hiatus!
