Chinese societal values - moving steadily toward the edge of the cliff. But the silver lining of the story is that there is an iPad app that does dialysis called PissMakerPro.
More accurate title ...
I give you a kidney, you give me money
which isn't really news given selling organs was perfectly legal in China up to 4 years ago and goes on all the time still.

The question I have is if giving it exposure would increase the likelihood that people would give their kidney away? or less likely?
News usually isn't just news and things go away from there onward. I would question if such exposure is necessary if things are already handed to the police.
People would go to great lengths to treat their family's life threatening diseases, so by exposing such a method opens up a portal to sell their organs for treatment costs.

Of course you don't believe this garbage do you? This is what the Chinese media does to fill up pages in a newspaper where most real news is not fit for publishing in China. Its a known fact that they make these stories up, sometimes to stir up nationalism, other times to send a message to the public. Did you read the one last year about the guy who refused to turn off his cell phone and almost made a passenger plane crash because the instruments got confused? He was arrested....The details of the story make it sound totally impossible.
