    Fair weather protesters

As winter draws in many of the 'occupy' protests will lose there appeal. They will probably come back bigger and more organised in 2012

Do they need to be more organised?

Should people on 'job seekers allowance' be allowed to protest for days/weeks on end as they are not really job seeking?

Maybe for New York, but in HK, the winter is pretty mild in comparison (at least it doesn't usually snow, although the HK winters can get close to frezzing) . So maybe they'll fly to HK and protest outside the American investment bank offices here instead, haha.

Should people on fat salaries be allowed to complain in online posts about protesters while they're supposed to be working?
(yes, my comment on east coast's salary is as unfounded as his statement on the income of the protesters :-))

I thought it also has to do with ego as much as greed.

These protests are not going away. The issue is whether they will translate into any political movements that affect elections - they should. The other key is not to fall into the G20 type protests with violence or destruction as that will lose the average citizen.

Truly it is time for the citizens of western nations to put the boots to their profligate gov'ts.

Only posing the questions already asked.

"Meanwhile in the Commons, the Conservative MP for Harrow East, Bob Blackman, called for benefits to be stripped from protesters.

While defending the right to demonstrate peacefully, he said: "The growing encampment outside St Paul's Cathedral - it has residents that clearly are not available for work nor should they be eligible for state benefits."

Which is probably easy for him to say as he is declaring six houses in Welwyn Garden City.
