FDH ROA case moves to Appeal

    http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp...153d35db8d.2c1

From what I understand of the HK judiciary, this week's hearing is with a court only one step 'lower' than than the Court of Final Appeal.

So far, back in September, the court has sided with Evangeline Banao Vallejos that she has the right to request permanent residence status. This week's hearing is HK's appeal.

Contrary to the remaks of some people on this board, I believe the outcome of this case *could potentially* impact the ROA application rules for expats too (i.e. income or property requirements? etc.).

Sadly, I think it could impact many, many FDHs working here.

If it goes in favour of the FDH's waiting for a new Facebook protest against FDH's and how they are stealing local HK peoples spaces on the MTR or something like that.
