Blackadder: propagating anti-patriotic left wing myths?

    See http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...academics.html

    Michael Gove, UK Education Secretary:

The conflict [ The First World War] has, for many, been seen through the fictional prism of dramas such as Oh! What a Lovely War, The Monocled Mutineer and Blackadder, as a misbegotten shambles – a series of catastrophic mistakes perpetrated by an out-of-touch elite.
I wonder if a series such as Blackadder could be made in China? Could there be a satirical programme about the CCP? Or would the writers, such as Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, end up in the labour camp for writing such things?

They may need to develop a sense of humour first!

Guard "Captain Blackadder, I have to admire your balls"
    Blackadder "Maybe later"

Weren't Grove's comments about the reason for going to war (to stop German aggression - they had just invaded and occupied Belgium) rather than the military elites in-ability to devise tactics that could win a war without major loss of life.
