Recycling in HK, its getting there... gradually

Personally, I think there is a big improvement in recycling here. You might not 'see' the change but you can definitely feel it, through the attitude of the people. People actually understand the need for recycling: decline in resource, global warming, etc. but it's a matter of putting it into everyday's practice.
Corps in HK are doing their part in campaigning for recycling / go-green although they often seem to be ineffective PR gimmicks (No straw and lids day at McD's; no plastic bags day at 7-11). Sometimes, I think if they cut down on the leaflets hand-out they will be saving the planet more effectively...
Nevertheless, people in HK are becoming greener and more recycling actions will be taken by communties, especially the younger generations.

FYI for those in Wan Chai . . . one of the places to recycle batteries is the Hopewell Center, 4th Floor. I called today after searching the link provided by timklip (in 2008 . . lol) and called the Hopewell Center and was told there is a collection bin on for recycled batteries on the 4th floor.

Hopewell Center was a canard . . . in Wan Chai, go to the Southorn Center on Hennessy Road/Wan Chai MTR. First floor, a little container the size of a shoebox. If you can't find it, ask the security guard.
