The stories mention that it went missing soon after requesting a route change to avoid weather, there is no mention of whether they were granted permission or not?

    It really is mysterious.

Not sure about Air Asia and time will tel, but for the Malaysian Airlines flight it is now close to 9 months and no sign (despite some of the know it all on here who claimed this or that as usual).....really makes you wonder what might have happened - and lets be clear at this stage no one (on here at least) has any clue - greatest mystery of 2014 perhaps.

Not all airlines are managed equally well
so the outcome is not equally likely.

And the fact that this time it hits an airline owned by a Malaysian is merely a coincidence

Technically this one is an Indonesian airline albeit with a Malaysian majority stakeholder.

That we had too with MH370. I really hope that at least they can find what's left. MH370 happened 9 month ago. I start to wonder if they will ever find out what happened. Must be terrible for all the family members.
