    INCREDIBLY stupid PC correctness

Germany refugee riot over torn Koran leaves 17 hurt - BBC News

To summarise: a bunch of refugees live in a refugee camp in Germany. An Afghan refugee tears up three pages of the Koran and flushes it down the toilet. What follows is riots, demolish the refugee camp which was given to them for free by German tax payers, and attempts to lynch the guy who did this.

Arrives the State prime minister Bodo Ramelow and says there is "no excuse at all for "anyone tearing up a Koran and throwing it in the toilet"."

What he should have said is: "This is Germany and in Germany anybody can tear up any book he wants and do whatever he wants with the pages. If you don't like it, go back to where you come from".

And then the police should have arrested anybody involved in demolishing the refugee camp and trying to lynch the guy, and put them on the first plane back to wherever the fuck they come from.

The PC in Europe is astonishingly astonishing!!!

    Right.
They throw people in prison for studying or discussing controversial parts of their history.

In the US, we do not have the same "hate speech"* laws. But we do have a controlled media that does its best to enforce Political Correctness. And until Trump started speaking out, the MSM had done a pretty thorough job of controlling the debate through defining what is PC.

I presume the mechanism is a bit different in Germany

    =====
*Volksverhetzung (German: in general meaning "Incitement of the People";[1][2] however, the official German criminal code translation used in English is "Incitement to hatred") is a concept in German criminal law that bans incitement to hatred against segments of the population or calls for violent or arbitrary measures against them, including assaults against the human dignity of others by insulting, maliciously maligning, or defaming segments of the population.

It is often applied to, though not limited to, trials relating to Holocaust denial in Germany.

    - Wiki
Even those who have no intentions to incite hate, but merely want to investigate the historical record get caught up in the web of this law.

There was that German judge who, back in 2007, said domestic violence was okay because it says so in the Koran and the couple were Moroccan Muslims. Apparently it wasn't the first time a German judge had thus ruled...

Holocaust deniers are not "investigating the historical record" but trying to whitewash history.

So despite all the evidence: concentration camps, bodies, photographs, survivor statements, confessions of prison guards, records etc., are you so taken up with conspiracy theories that you believe the holocaust did not happen? I knew two survivors (long dead now) so if you tell me it did not happen ......

    Hullexile,
This thread is about extreme political correctness - and you are exhibiting that

I politely asked: "How do you know that?" when confronted with this statement by you:
"Holocaust deniers are not "investigating the historical record" but trying to whitewash history.

In response, you say: "... you believe the holocaust did not happen"

I never said that. I do think that it is obvious that many people, not just Jews, died tragically in Camps. I have visited Auschwitz-Birkenau near Cracow, Poland and was very moved by what I saw there.

What disturbs me, is the reality of what happened, is not considered a suitable subject for genuine research. I think the complete "mind control" on the topic is an extreme from of political correctness. You seem to disagree, and KNOW somehow what really happened. Truly, I wonder if you have examined research on both sides: the "official story" and objections to it? If so, what research did you see? And, what research into alternative explanations have you seen, and where were you allowed to see it?
